Mere's Edge Completed Development

Brookhouse Group acquired the former BICC works at Helsby in 2001. A development brief for the site was prepared by Brookhouse for a mixed use regeneration scheme and adopted by Vale Royal Borough Council in 2002.

A suite of planning applications for employment, retail and housing development were approved in 2003. Since then a significant amount of development has been completed including the demolition and remediation of the site, implementation of business units, the construction of a Tesco foodstore and over 125 new homes.
